Our Practice Areas

Our broad base of practice areas allow us to provide you with effective, efficient, and ethical services regarding a variety of legal concerns in your personal and business lives. Our areas of practice include:

  • Personal injury claims are brought by victims who suffer physical or psychological injury directly due to another person’s negligence. Our attorneys employ a practical, professional approach to ensure that our clients obtain full and fair recovery for their injuries, including damages for their past and future medical bills, lost income, emotional distress, and pain and suffering.
  • Kentucky law sets limits on the amount of time you have to file a personal injury claim. Consult an experienced personal injury attorney as soon as possible so your claim is filed within crucial statutory deadlines.
  • Our attorneys consult with knowledgeable and respected experts to assist with case preparation. With the assistance of physicians, trauma doctors, pharmacists, chiropractors, forensics engineers, mechanics, and accident reconstruction analysts, we are skilled at negotiating the best possible settlements.

Our firm provides thorough analysis of insurance policy language and whether specific claims qualify for coverage. Following a detailed review, we issue clear opinion letters outlining the extent of the exposure our carrier clients face. In situations where the claimant bears fault, or more than one potential defendant exists, we will vigorously pursue information that demonstrates that other parties are wholly or partially responsible. Should the insurer have an obligation to defend against the claim, our lawyers work toward a prompt, favorable resolution whether that occurs through settlement negotiation, mediation, arbitration, a declaratory judgment action or, when necessary, litigation.

  • We litigate difficult issues that are critical to the successful resolution of disputes and skillfully present different cases to judges and juries, cross-examine witnesses, and handle appeals.
  • If you are a business, we understand that lawsuits can be one of the most expensive and time-consuming experiences that a business must face. While we strive to resolve your matter in the timeliest manner, we believe that cost containment and practicality are just as important as winning the disputes.
  • Our attorneys understand the arguments juries want to hear and the strategies that produce positive results for our clients. Whether your issue involves life, property, casualty, automotive or disability insurance, we can help you successfully resolve the problem. We represent both insurance companies and insureds in both state and federal court.

  • A focus of our firm is helping clients start their own businesses. Simons & Fore, P.S.C review your business plans and advise on issues involved in business formation and maintenance, including potential liability, corporate entity formation and tax structures. Once your business has been established, we continue to help it grow by advising on insurance coverage, investment strategies, and corporate compliance issues. We also look after your best interests by finding strategies to limit your personal liability and increase your bottom line.
  • We work closely with business owners to ensure businesses run smoothly. We often negotiate and draft contracts and buy-and-sell agreements, assist with corporate compliance measures and tax filing, and represent businesses in shareholder disputes and commercial litigation cases. Our attorneys are seasoned negotiators and litigators, and know how to best represent your financial interests, successfully resolving your issues in the boardroom or the courtroom.

  • Knowing that you have planned for your family’s long-term well-being and financial security can bring you comfort. Our attorneys thoroughly analyze your estate and strategize the best means of transferring your assets, minimizing taxes, establishing guardianship for your children, caring for your pets, supporting personal philanthropic causes, and protecting your loved ones.
  • As your life changes, so might your estate plan. You may need to update your will throughout your life. We draft valid codicils that address changes in your financial situation, marital status, number of children, philanthropic interests, and general lifestyle decisions.
  • A will is essential at every stage of your life. Your living will sets the parameters for medical intervention should you become incapacitated. This assures that when you are most vulnerable, your wishes will be honored.
  • If you have minor children, your will allows you to make decisions about their future care. This is especially crucial if you are a single parent or if both parents die in a common incident. You can also make arrangements for your pets’ care in your will, including naming a guardian to take responsibility for your pets.
